(Bangkok Post file photo)New political parties could break the dominance by existing parties which are struggling to reconfirm their members, according to chief charter writer Meechai Ruchupan and the main parties. Mr Meechai said on Sunday the political atmosphere was lively with 98 political groups having applied to register as political parties. "At least, people are not limited to choosing several old-face political parties [dominating national politics]," he said. Meanwhile, Jarungvit Phumma, acting EC secretary-general, said the EC has rejected one application out of the 98 lodged by political groups.
